Sammy DeLeon is a musician born in Lorain, Ohio, to a family with no background in music. One of his family members, his older brother introduced him to the musical instrument timbales. After that, he decided to join the drum corps at Admiral King High School and started playing professionally at the age of 13.

Meanwhile, Jackie Warren is a pianist from Colorado. She studied classical piano at Oberlin Conservatory, Ohio with Sedmara Zakarian Rutstein and earned a B.M. in performance.

She made the decision to study there after receiving recommendations from three of her teachers, Patricia Warren, Myra Boitos, Charles Day, and Steve Barta.

She later studied classical piano performance with Andrius Kuprevicius and Daniel Barber at Cleveland State University and earned an M.M. However, she continued her studies with Creque and has lived in Cleveland ever since.
