CLEVELAND, OH — Cuyahoga Community College or Tri-C® has announced a number of leadership changes that will affect positions on the Eastern, Western and Westshore campuses as well as Collegewide roles. The following changes will be in effect starting from August 2

Following the retirement of current president Donna Imhoff, Lisa Williams will take over as president of Western Campus. Since 2019, Williams has been the president of Tri-Eastern C's Campus. She worked for the College in a number of capacities from 1995 to 2009, and then again from 2014 until the present.

William Cunion will serve as interim campus president following Williams' departure to the Western Campus. Since 2014, Cunion has worked at Tri-C as an associate dean of liberal arts and dean of academic affairs on the Eastern Campus. Cunion, a Mandel Leadership program alumnus and recipient of the College's 2019 Community Champion Award, has worked in higher education for more than twenty years.

Following the retirement of current president Terri Pope, Janice Taylor Heard will take over as interim president at the Westshore Campus. Taylor Heard is coming to Westshore from Western Campus, where she has been a vital member of the leadership team for over a decade.

Collegewide, Lindsay English, Angela Johnson, and Magda Gómez have been promoted to expanded roles at Tri-C. English and Johnson were promoted on August 2, while Gómez was promoted on July 12.

English, who now serves as the College's vice president of learning and engagement, will also serve as assistant provost. This will free her up to take on more administrative responsibilities, such as boosting student outcomes that influence the College's portion of state financing.

English will proceed to lead the College's response to the Higher Learning Commission's new institutional accreditation process, as well as represent the College to the Ohio Association of Community Colleges, the Ohio Department of Education, the American Association of Community Colleges, Achieving the Dream and other external organizations.

Johnson, the College's vice president of access and completion, would be in charge of the new Collegewide Athletics program's development and operations. Johnson will also be in charge of the Collegewide Athletics budget, all sports competitions, athletic scholarships, coach hiring and training, and student-athlete retention and completion.

In her new role as executive director of diversity and inclusion, Gómez reports to the Office of the President, which is an expansion of her previous role in the College's Human Resources department.

As executive director, Gómez will manage the formulation and execution of proactive racial and social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion activities in accordance with the College's strategic plan.
