The government of Ukraine has canceled its much-hyped cryptocurrency "airdrop," supposedly to reward individuals who donated cryptocurrency to Ukraine during the Russian invasion, and will issue NFTs instead.
Ukraine's government has accrued $30 million over the past week and, in a surprising announcement, made an airdrop on Tuesday.

The most frequent airdrop among buzzy crypto-projects is the giveaway of cryptocurrency to many people at zero percent cost. Bitcoin, a password document, and Litecoin are examples of crypto-projects that can be airdropped.
Ukraine has entirely eco-systematized the entire lifecycle of crypto-related projects, from the distribution of an airdrop announcement to the scams that proliferated upon its introduction, to the final cancellation and accusations of being a "lose," which is a crypto jargon term for a project taking people's money and then failing and delivering nothing.
It is possible that some participated in these jams giving back to a charity they thought in. As can be expected, the response from others in crypto was swift and severe, even though stories circulated that everyone was joking around amid the arbitrariness of the situation.
Scammers published a purportedly novel giveaway on Twitter recently. The pain of this contagion made it appear to be a legitimate crypto airdrop from Ukraine called World.
The leading cryptocurrency news publication Coindesk identified that the tweet was a fraud, and Ukraine had not publicized this sort of transaction at all.
This is an incredible and highly confusing time, both in the history of warfare and cryptographic currency.
