Visiting The Jemez Historic Site in Jemez Springs, New Mexico

The Jemez Historic Site was established to protect the ancient village of Gisewa and the San Jose de los Jemez mission church. The Gisewa people lived in this area for hundreds of years previous to the Spaniards coming through and built this church on the site. The site is extremely well preserved.
