Hiking to Travertine Falls in Tijeras, New Mexico

In this video, I'll take you along with us as we hike to Travertine Falls in Tijeras, New Mexico in the Sandia Mountain Wilderness just East of Albuquerque. This is a kid-friendly, easy hike to a small cave. Some times during the year there is water trickling down the cliff in this area and it is lush with growth. This time of year, the falls were dry and the brush was still brown, but the butterflies are starting to come out! It's approximately 0.5 miles to the Travertine Falls point on the trail from the parking lot. This trail is free to access.
