(Castle Rock, CO) The Douglas County School District received great news last week when the Colorado Department of Education released state, district, and school-level data on its standardized testing results.

DougCo students fared better on the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) test in the English language arts and math sections than in the state and neighboring districts. Students in grades third through eighth took the entire test for the first time since 2019 this past Spring.

Statewide around 40-45% of students taking the test met or exceeded expectations in English language arts (ELA), and less than 40% met or exceeded expectations in math. DougCo students averaged 59.7% meeting or exceeding expectations in ELA and 49% in math.

The following schools had the highest percentage of students meeting or exceeding grade level expectations or showed the most improvement from 2019.

State, district, and school-level results are available on the CDE website.
