In an unexpected turn of events nobody saw coming, it is with a heavy heart that we report that Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of the late superstar Elvis Presley, died of cardiac arrest Thursday evening, January 12, 2023 after being rushed to the hospital. She was only my age, 54-years-old. Lisa Marie released three albums throughout the course of her career. She was the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley. She was described as a strong and loving woman by her heartbroken grief-stricken mom Priscilla.

Her son, Benjamin Keough died tragically of suicide in August 2020. It left her heartbroken and destroyed after that untimely tragedy. She expressed her sorrow in this tweet dated, August 30, 2022:

She had two kids from her previous marriage to Chicago musician Danny Keough who she divorced in 1994; Riley Keough born in 1989 and Benjamin Keough born in 1992; Finley Aaron Love Lockwood, and Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood from her previous marriage to guitarist Michael Lockwood and was briefly married to the late pop superstar Michael Jackson who she made a cameo appearance in his music video, "You Are Not Alone."

She was also married to actor Nicolas Cage from 2002 until their divorce in 2004.

He shared this tweet with The Hollywood Reporter:

An outpouring of condolences from fans, celebrities Octavia Spencer, Billy Corgan, John Travolta, and more and an official announcement of her death from her mom Priscilla Presley in People mobbed social media in memory of Lisa Marie:

"She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment."

Although I wasn't too familiar with her music, I remember she recorded a duet that included her late father, Elvis Presley's vocals dubbed together and it was amazing. Her final album dedicated to her father was entitled, "Elvis Presley, Where No One Stands Alone."

This was shocking terrible news after she and her mom, Priscilla Presley appeared at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards to watch the lead actor, Austin Butler who portrayed her father, Elvis accept the award for best actor in the film. According to reports in People Magazine, The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed to People that EMT's dispatched and arrived at her home in Calabasas, California and was hospitalized for a possible cardiac arrest only two days after Lisa Marie and her mom attended the Golden Globes. When the paramedics arrived at her home, they began CPR and had signs of life before arriving at the hospital for immediate medical care but then upon entering the hospital suddenly took a turn for the worst and she stopped breathing and sadly she was gone. She had issues with drugs in the past.

Lisa Marie is reunited with her father Elvis and her son, Benjamin now for eternity.

Lisa Marie Presley was born on February 1, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee exactly nine months after Elvis and Priscilla's wedding. She was briefly raised in the area until she moved to Los Angeles at age 4 following her parent's divorce in 1973.

Elvis died in 1977 when Lisa Marie was just 9-years-old. She's the joint heir of the Graceland Estate alongside her grandfather Vernon Presley and great-grandmother Minnie Mae Hood Presley following their deaths in 1979 and 1980 and then became the sole heir of her father's Graceland residence following his death.

Lisa Marie was a very talented singer like her Dad and will be remembered by all her family, friends, and fans.
