DRESSX and MTA Partner to Bring AR Metahelmets NFTs to Life

Fashion lovers can now go beyond their closet and begin curating their digital wardrobe in the metaverse. One of the digital fashion stores to emerge in this space over the last year is DRESSX which just announced a partnership this week with The MTA (Metaverse Travel Agency) powered by tech studio Kollectiff. The clothing company is considered to be the Macy's of the digital world.

The partnership kicked off this past Saturday, December 18, 2021, with a launch event in Decentraland to celebrate their creation of a series of limited edition Metahelmets, for avatars to accessorize.

“The metaverse is being developed fast, but there is still a way to go, that’s why bridging irl and meta experiences is the most relevant utility. We at DRESSX provide it through augmented reality. This is aligned with the mission of the Metaverse Travel Agency. We think that Metahelmets are unique products to introduce with all the utilities,” said Natalia Modenova, DRESSX COO and co-founder.

The Metahelmets give people access to the MTA universe of activations, events, and abilities. It also unlocks exclusive content, such as member-only spaces, private quests, and adventures, community events, and rewards.

“This partnership with Kollectiff is exciting because it provides an experience in addition to the Metahelmet accessories,” says Daria Shapovalova, DRESSX CEO and co-founder. “If we were creating tangible, physical Metahelmets for users to wear to enter the world via Augmented Reality (AR), there would be a lot of raw materials waste. The metaverse provides the opportunity to create something without that same barrier to entry, in a fraction of the time. It also allows us to reach more people and open this experience to a wider audience.”

The audience for digital fashion is growing fast--the MTA Community has grown to 15,000 members on Discord in just a short amount of time. The collab is also planning to open a large NFT Gallery and MembersClub in Los Angeles, expected in Q1.
