Multiple accidents occurred on an icy I-70 Thursday night, forcing the closure of the interstate for a time and leaving the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office to warn travelers to stay off the roads on Thanksgiving night, if possible. At 8:30 p.m., the sheriff's office noted that conditions were very dangerous.

The Lone Tree Police Department is seeking information about a murder suspect who was last seen in Colorado Springs and is considered armed and dangerous. Victim Michael Lohmeier was found deceased in his vehicle on November 4 in a parking lot near the 8500 block of S. Yosemite in Lone Tree. Lohmeier, a resident of Centennial, was 73. 29-year-old James Matthew Neal was identified as a suspect in the case.

Owners John and Carrie Hallford, the owners of the Return to Nature location in Penrose as well as a Colorado Springs location were arrested in Wagoner, Oklahoma, and charged with crimes that include abuse of a corpse, a class 6 felony; one count theft, a class 5 felony, and four class 6 felony counts; money laundering, a class 3 felony; and forgery, a class 5 felony.
