(DENVER, Colo.) Thursday's warm temperatures begin a trend expected to last throughout Memorial Day weekend.
The National Weather Service in Boulder predicts sunny skies in Denver Thursday, with a high temperature near 82. Expect light and variable winds to become northeast at 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.
Thursday evening in Denver will consist of clear skies and cool temperatures.
The weather service predicts a low temperature of around 52. Anticipate northeast winds at 5 to 9 mph to become light and variable.
Looking Ahead: Possible showers and thunderstorms Friday followed by sunshine and warm temps
Friday in the Mile High City will be a bit bipolar, with wet conditions expected before the sun and warm temperatures come out.
There is a 10 percent chance of rain showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Friday. The skies will be mostly sunny thereafter as the high temperature reaches near 89.
Expect south to southwest winds at 6 to 9 mph. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.
The weather service predicts another 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 p.m. Friday. The skies will become partly cloudy as the low temperature drops to around 54.
Expect southwest winds at 6 to 10 mph. Gusts might reach as high as 16 mph.
