(DENVER, Colo.) Friday will kick off a weekend of above-normal temperatures in the Mile High City.
The National Weather Service in Boulder predicts partly sunny skies and a high temperature near 83 Friday. Expect southern winds at 10 to 13 mph to become northwest in the afternoon.
Gusts may reach as high as 21 mph.
The skies over Denver Friday evening will become mostly cloudy as the low temperature drops to around 56.
Anticipate west to northwest winds at 6 to 11 mph to become southern after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.

Saturday in Denver will be even warmer and windier than Friday.
The weather service predicts mostly sunny skies and a high temperature near 87. Expect breezy conditions, with southern winds at 8 to 13 mph to increase to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon.
Gust may reach as high as 31 mph.
There is a fire weather watch in effect from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday.
Saturday evening will be cloudy and cool, with a low temperature near 46. Expect breezy conditions to continue throughout the night, with west to southwest winds at 7 to 17 mph becoming northeast after midnight.
Winds might gust as high as 28 mph.
Sunday will be wet, but still warm, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms and temperatures near the 80s.
The weather service predicts mostly sunny skies and a high near 80, with a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon.
Expect breezy conditions, with southern winds at 6 to 16 mph to become southwest in the afternoon. Gusts may reach as high as 25 mph.
Sunday evening will consist of clear skies, breezy conditions and a low temperature near 48.
