(DENVER, Colo.) Historic Colorado and the Molly Brown House Museum will host a free virtual event from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on Amache, the WWII Japanese American incarceration camp in southeast Colorado.

The event will take place on Zoom and will cover the camp, its traumatic aftermath and its future as a United States National Park, according to the event's Facebook page. Additionally, attendees will learn about recent preservation work at the Amache Relocation Center in Granada.

Colorado Preservation, Inc. has worked to make the site a national park and will be in attendance for the event to share information about their work on the project, according to the Molly Brown House Museum.
