(DENVER, Colo.) A new study shows paying $1,500 per month will get you less than 700 square feet of apartment space in Denver.

The RentCafe study ranked the 100 largest U.S. cities based on the square footage renters could get for $1,500 a month. In Denver, $1,500 rents you an average 681 square feet of living space.

You can find better deals in the suburbs. In Aurora, for example, that $1,500 rents 729 square feet, the study says.

Wheat Ridge and Brighton ranked in the top 3 cities behind Aurora in the Denver metro for best “bang for your buck” for apartment space.
