(DENVER, Colo.) Tuesday's weather forecast predicts sunny and mild conditions followed by high winds in the Mile High City.
The National Weather Service in Boulder forecasts Tuesday's high temperature in Denver will be around 54 degrees. Expect northern winds at 6 to 16 mph to become east to northeast Tuesday morning.
More notably, winds increased in the higher mountain overnight, with gusts reaching up to 65 mph Tuesday morning. Gusty winds are expected to reach into the eastern plains Tuesday afternoon, bringing gusts of up to 25 mph in areas like Denver.
The weather service predicts mostly clear skies over Denver Tuesday evening, with a low temperature dropping to about 26. Anticipate west to northwest winds of 5 to 7 mph to become southern Tuesday evening.
Looking ahead
Wednesday in the Mile High City will be partly sunny, with temperatures slightly lower than Tuesday, reaching near 52.
Expect calmer southern winds at 6 to 9 mph to become northern Wednesday afternoon.
The weather service forecasts cloudy skies in Denver Wednesday evening for the most part, with a 20 percent chance of snow after 11 p.m. The low temperature is expected to drop to around 26.
Expect western winds at 7 mph in Denver Wednesday evening.
The next chance of slight snow will be Friday morning before noon, followed by a slight chance of rain from noon to 2 p.m. Expect mostly sunny conditions and a 30% chance of precipitation.
The weather service predicts another chance of snow Friday evening before 11 p.m., with mostly cloudy skies and a low temperature near 19.
