(DENVER, Colo.) The weather in the Mile High City Thursday will be unusually warm and sunny for the most part, with a high temperature around 62.

The sun rose over Denver Thursday at 7:19 a.m. and will set at 4:57 p.m. Expect partly cloudy conditions Thursday morning into the afternoon from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with cloudier conditions rolling in at 4 p.m.

The air quality index in the Mile High City Thursday as of 9:20 a.m. was good at 45, similar to Wednesday at about the same time. Although the air quality Thursday is satisfactory and poses little or no health risk, the primary pollutant in the air once again is nitrogen oxides which typically are produced from things including fires, power plants and traffic.

The National Weather Service in Boulder forecasts mostly sunny and slightly warmer temperatures throughout Denver and today. Expect south to southeast winds to blow throughout Thursday at 3 to 5 mph.

NWS Boulder expects the skies over the Mile High City Thursday evening to be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature just below freezing around 30. Expect southwest winds to blow around 5 to 7 mph throughout the evening.

While Thursday will remain dry and mild, Friday will see moisture as the NWS Boulder predicts a 30% chance of snow after 11 a.m., with the high temperature expected to be near 41. Expect breezy conditions Friday, with north winds at 8 to 15 mph and gusts reaching high as 21 mph.

Little to no snow accumulation is expected Friday, with mostly cloudy conditions in the evening and a low temperature around 15. Expect north to northwest winds at speeds of 11 to 13 mph throughout the evening, with gusts reaching as high as 17 mph.
