As everyday life continues to become more complicated, having a few cooking hacks up your sleeve can help make eating a fun, easy and delicious part of your days and nights.

Whether it be a technique from a home cook or a professional, making food preparation easier or more efficient, the following are ten food hacks from social media platforms that you can try at home:

1. Marshmallow Snickers dip

Chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers...what else could you ask for!

This easy and sweet hack calls for lining the bottom of a glass baking dish with a row of snickers. Add marshmallows on top of the snickers and bake in the oven until the marshmallows rise and are golden brown.

Use graham crackers to dip into the chocolatey marshmallow madness and enjoy!

2. Pepper Cutting

Have you ever cut a pepper and had to scrape out all the seeds? Well, scrap no more!

This hack comes from DrBCook on TikTok and is for the cook looking to add some ease to their pepper recipes.

Simply lay the pepper on its side and cut the stem off the top to start. Next, flip the pepper upside down and slice down the grooves on the outside of the pepper.

Once this is done, you can pull off a fourth of the pepper with the seeds left in and around the top of the inside.

3. Pasta Skewers

This scrumptious food hack fuses Italian cuisine and grilling!

Stuff pieces of rigatoni with your choice of cheese such as mozzarella and slide the noodles and cheese onto a skewer. Lay the skewers on a baking sheet and top with a sauce such as a vodka or marinara.

Finish off with cheese on top and set the baking pan into the oven. Remove from the oven once the cheese is melted and enjoy!

4. One-Pot "Fried" Rice

What easier way to make fried rice at home than doing it all in just one pot?

This food hack comes from none other than TikTok sister-duo FoodDolls and is a great way to make fried rice at home.

The hack calls for pouring instant rice, green peas, carrots and onions into the pot with garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil and sriracha.

Next, pour chicken broth over the ingredients into the pot and bring it to a boil. When it's done, make a hole in the middle of the mixture to add eggs, butter and green onions.

Stir together and enjoy!

5. McDonald's Ice Cream/Coffee Hack

One of the more viral food hacks at the moment, the McDonald's Ice Cream and Coffee hack will have your mornings tasting especially sweet.

The hack is simple: go to a nearby McDonald's, purchase a vanilla cone and a large black iced coffee.

Dip the vanilla cone into the black coffee. Mix around until the ice cream is melted into the coffee and enjoy!

6. Cookie Dough Baked Oats

A very easy take at breakfast meets sweet, this cookie dough baked oats hack is everything we didn't know our morning needed.

Start by adding oats, greek yogurt, honey, melted butter, milk, vanilla and salt into a mixing bowl. Stir the ingredients together until combined.

Add chocolate chips and mix them in with the mixture. Pour the mixture into a ramekin or small bowl and add additional chocolate chips on top.

Bake for 25 minutes and enjoy!

7. Egg Sandwich

Another breakfast hack, this egg sandwich makes the most important meal of the day an easy task.

Begin by cutting a square out of the inside of a piece of bread. Next, place the outer part of the bread onto a pan and pour olive oil into the middle of the bread. Then, place an egg in the middle of the bread to cook.

Place your choice of breakfast meat and cheese on top of the egg while it cooks. Lastly, set the square piece of bread you cut out in the beginning on top of the egg, meat and cheese and carefully flip the sandwich over on the pan.

Serve and enjoy!

8. Cheese Boulders

One of the more mouthwatering hacks on this list, cheese boulders originates from the Buckhead Mountain Grill located in Louisville, Ky.

The hack calls for 8oz of cheddar Monterey Jack and parmesan cheese. Add the cheese into a mixing bowl with 6 beaten eggs, 1 and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 3/4 cups of cottage cheese, salt, pepper, garlic and smoked paprika.

Once all your ingredients are in the bowl, mix the ingredients together and let it chill in the refrigerator for an hour. Remove the mixture from the refrigerator and form it into balls.

Deep fry the balls at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for three to four minutes until golden brown. Serve with marinara and enjoy!

9. Easy eggshell removal

This Instagram food hack has got to be one of the best hacks yet, and it's one of the easiest!

Tediously picking eggshells of an egg is a task that has troubled home chefs for years. Nevertheless, this hack will result in shell-free eggs in no time.

By simply adding 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda when boiling eggs can help the shells slide right off, saving you the mess and stress!

10. Chopping onions

Last but not least, a hack that will save many home cooks from the one vegetable that causes the waterworks; onions.

Known for bringing a tear to even the hardest person's eyes, onions are high in acidity and omit syn-Propanethial-S-oxide, a chemical irritant. However, TikToker Mamainthekitchen's onion hack is a great way to avoid crying when chopping an onion.

Simply grab a paper towel, fold it into a square and pour cold water on it. Set it on the cutting board with the onion so that the acid in the onions attracts to the water.

If you read the comments of this hack, you will see that many people suggest rinsing a whole onion in cold water and then chopping it to have a tear-free chop session.
