Local distillery offering puppy training classes and other events this summer

(DENVER, Colo.) Ironton Distillery & Crafthouse have announced their roster of upcoming events in the River North Art District in Denver for all Denverites to enjoy as summer approaches.

Stop by the local distillery to take part in one of the five following summer events:

  • Puppy Socialization and Training classes

Ironton Distillery & Crafthouse has partnered with local dog trainer Family Pupz to provide an opportunity for puppy owners to learn about training while enjoying a drink. Owners will practice skills with their puppies including come, touch, sit, down, stay, recall and polite greetings.

The class will take place outside on the distillery's outdoor backyard space, with happy hour taking place throughout the entirety of the classes. The classes are taking place every Monday from now until September 27 with tickets costing $25.

  • Summer Yoga

Yoga instructor Erica Mackiewicz teaches a yoga class outdoors every Tuesday through September 28 at Ironton's backyard area. Yogis can purchase an advanced ticket for $12 to enjoy a draft cocktail, beer or wine once the class ends.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, class sizes are limited, with strict social distancing guidelines being enforced at the yoga classes. Those attending are required to bring their own mats.

  • Summer Nights Outdoor Movies Series

This year's Ironton's summer movies series will be a Sandler Summer, as the distillery will be screening hit films from Adam Sandler, including hits such as ‘50 First Dates,’ ‘Happy Gilmore,’ and ‘The Waterboy’. The movies will be screened every other Wednesday from May 19 to September 22 and will be held in the distillery's backyard area.

Tickets are $5, with seating starting at 7:30 p.m. A portion of the sales made off tickets for the movies series will go to supporting local nonprofit Big City Mountaineers to help with their mission of bettering the lives of children in need through outdoor and wilderness expeditions.

Group sized are limited to no more than 8 people.

  • Comedy Shows

Every other Thursday, some of the region's top comedians will be performing at the distillery. Comedians include Jeremiah Chinegwu, Korey David, Hannah Jones and Lisa Lane. Available seating is limited, with the shows starting at 7:30 p.m.

Masks are required for entry and social distancing will be enforced. Those attending are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to be donated to Bienvenido Food Bank. Those who make donations will be entered into a drawing for door prizes.

  • Summer Live Music

Every Friday and Saturday evening, Ironton will host free live music from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in their gardens area.
