1. Gateway Arch and Jefferson Expansion Park
Located in downtown St. Louis, this place is the heart of St. Louis and the most known landmark in town. The arc is in the center of Jefferson Expansion Park. You can start your running from Memorial Plaza towards green plaza as the median. Then, you can head to the east for passing by the Soldiers’ Memorial Museum and you will pass a small park, such as Citygarden Sculpture Park. Right afterward, you may pass the Old Cathedral and finish the track at Gateway Arch and Jefferson Expansion Park.
2. Downtown and Arch Loop
You can start your running activity from the Eads Bridge to the Gateway Arch and Jefferson Expansion Park to see the scenery of the Mississippi River. You may also run through other landmarks by running through Busch Stadium, the new Rams Stadium, 14th Street by the Soldier Memorial Military Museum, St. Louis City Hall as well, Convention Center, City Garden, and Eternal Flame Park.
3. St. Louis Riverfront Trail (Mississippi Greenway)
If you are in the neighborhood of Four Season Hotel or about one mile northeast from the Gateway Arch and Jefferson Expansion Park, you may start your running from the St. Louis Riverfront Trail. This bike path elongates to the Chain of Rocks Bridge, which is a friendly place for pedestrians to cross over to the Illinois side. You can go back to the neighborhood by passing through the Levee Road or Madison County Confluence Trail paths.
