ST. LOUIS, MO — Big Muddy Adventures or BMA offers a river trip on the Mississippi or Missouri River from hour-long paddles to multi-day expeditions.
They also have private island dinners, which accommodate most dietary restrictions for those who opt for a simple outdoor getaway.
Paddlers, BMA's way of addressing clients, will get to enjoy the nature delight around the river. The Missouri River trip offers interaction with wildlife and unique flora around the natural back channel of the river. The day trip also offers lunch and a swim on Pelican Island.
Staff and guides always put safety first policy as their priority. BMA boasts a clean safety record as they equipped the guides with First Aid training and certificates.
The cancellation policy reflects BMA's commitments to safety. Paddlers will get a full refund if BMA decides to announce weather-related cancellations.
Although it is safe to paddle the two rivers, BMA advises paddlers without advanced paddling skills to opt for a guided and outfitted trip instead of a self-guided journey.
BMA applies stricter safety protocols, including social distancing, reduced group size, additional sanitization, employee screening, face masks/coverings, and pre-trip screening to protect the paddlers from COVID-19 transmission. BMA will not accept paddlers with COVID-19 symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
Day trips start at $30 and $85, and overnight trips start at $150. Paddlers will get life paddles, jackets, canoes, shuttling between locations during the trip, and guides. Some trips include meals.
