Actor, Writer, Filmmaker- Oscar Gary, Jr.Oscar Gary, Jr.

Southampton County, Virginia native, Oscar Gary, Jr. is an American actor, screenwriter, video editor, and filmmaker that will soon be a familiar face in your home. Well, on your television.

His first "big break" was a small stage in a school play in elementary school. He gave himself a start by creating short stories by the of 14.

Though it's well known that education alone isn't enough, his education gives him an edge over the competition. Being an alumnus of the HBCU Norfolk State University and Full Sail University, his degrees in Journalism & Creative Writing combined with the God-given talent to act broadened his horizon.

His writing genres of preference are Science Fiction, Drama, Thriller & Comedy.

On a journey to chase his dream, soon after completing his bachelor's degree, he relocated to Bowie, Maryland.

His drive to act was fueled by his passion, so much so, that he began acting during his own free time.

The average person wouldn't drop their entire home life and aggressively pursue a dream, but Oscar took a leap & pursued his acting & film writing career. His yearning for success would call for yet another relocation, & he answered the call by moving to Brooklyn, New York.

What began as a pure desire & a dream manifested into his reality. He was allowed to grace the television screen of Amazon Prime & gained actor films credits.

A few productions that he was featured in are The Available Wife (official selection for the American Black Film Festival 2020), Secrets, & Betrayals.

If you are a Tyler Perry fan, then you remember Denise Boutte who was seen in the movie Why Did I Get Married? as the mistress of married man Mike. She was also Sasha on the television series, Meet the Browns. Oscar worked alongside her as Kurt in the movies Secrets while she played the part of Victoria Campbell.

He's also worked alongside Clifton Powell, Tray Chaney, K.J. Smit, Roger Guenveur Smith, Harold House Moore, & Denyce Lawton. In my eyes, that makes him just as big of a star as those he sits in the same room with.

Gary can be seen as Inmate Fahkar, on ABC's Bull, season 3, episode 21, "When the Rains Come" which aired on May 6, 2019.

Recently, it was announced by McKinnon Studio that Gary booked a role on another major network. He will be seen on the upcoming episode of CBS' NCIS.

Be on the lookout for his grand appearance on PrimeTime TV. Follow his journey from the small stage to the big screen!
