The Salton Sea | Bombay Beach: A Wasteland In The Middle Of The Desert

Our Southern California Desert Road Trip continues with a visit to Bombay Beach, in the middle of the desert at the southern tip of the Salton Sea. Once a booming resort, it is now the site of an ecological disaster, as the massive lake is drying up leaving salt deposits and toxins from farming and industrial waste on its dwindling shores and in the air. The Salton Sea is now an apocalyptic wasteland that can no longer sustain life, popular as an occasional location for music videos, films, and fashion shoots, as well as social media content creators. So I guess we fit right in! | NEWSLETTER: ๐Ÿ’Œ Get our weekly newsletter for all the latest and help us plan our adventures! | OUR BLOG AND FAVORITE TRAVEL RESOURCES: โœˆ๏ธ
