BART reopens station restrooms that have been closed since 9/11

BART announced on Tuesday that restrooms at Powell Street Station and 19th Street Station are reopening in February. These restrooms will open for the first time in over 20 years, after being closed Sept. 11, 2001 due to terrorist threats.

BART officials say other station restrooms will reopen once funding is secured.

Yelp's top 10 highest-rated restaurants in S.F.

Yelp shared a list of the highest-rated restaurants in the San Francisco area:

District Attorney Chesa Boudin’s father granted parole after 40 years in prison

San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin's father was granted parole after being behind bars for 40 years, the state corrections department said Tuesday.

His dad, 76-year-old David Gilbert, botched an armored car robbery in 1981 that left a guard and two police officers dead. Gilbert was sentenced 75 years to life, but it was shortened after Gov. Andrew Cuomo commuted his sentence in August.

Oakland A's waterfront ballpark plan moves forward on track

Across the bridge, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday voted 4-1 in favor of supporting the Oakland A's effort to build a ballpark stadium near Jack London Square. The vote secures a $12 billion fund to help finance the waterfront stadium and mixed-use development surrounding it.
