Your voice could be the next "Voice of the Braves". Fans of the Atlanta Braves were devastated when we learned our beloved long-time public address (PA) announcer Casey Motter passed away suddenly at the age of 53. Initially, Motter worked as a public address announcer for his son's youth football games and joined the Braves in 2007. Casey was an integral part of the Braves fan experience at Truist Park and his shoes will be hard to fill. Now, open auditions are being held by the Braves for their next "Voice of the Braves". Braves manager Brian Snitker said, ‘Helloooo baseball fans!’ … He’ll be missed, that’s for sure.”

In Fulton County, bus drivers are in short supply on the first day of the new school year. Officials are hoping to fill two hundred school bus driver positions. Vickie Cross, Director of Transportation for the Fulton County Schools says, “This has been the worst driver shortage I’ve ever experienced.” The shortages have caused delays in pick-up and drop-offs of students causing concern for many parents. The driver's issue in Fulton County is critical, therefore, many incentives are being offered to attract new drivers and keep existing ones.

With the current state gas tax suspension set to expire on August 13th, on Wednesday, August 3rd, in order to alleviate the financial crisis placed on Georgians, Governor Kemp signed two executive orders effective until September 12th. As a result of Kemp's extensions, the state's motor fuel excise tax will be suspended along with the suspension of state tax collection on locomotive fuel. Additionally, he renewed the State of Emergency for Supply Chain Disruptions.

Latoya’s faith is rooted in her religious upbringing and a very strong mother who went into her prayer closet to conquer her trials and tribulations. At a young age, she noticed when her mother came out of her closet, something was different. Walton is the Founder and CEO of MyKayla Ink, an organization dedicated to assisting families with special needs children in a wide capacity. After graduating high school, Latoya obtained a certification in Project Management and continued her career in E-Commerce Exchange as an account manager for a multitude of companies specializing in merchant services.

Tom Kloza, global head of energy analysis for the OPIS, which tracks gas prices for AAA states the national average is expected to hit $5 a gallon within the next two weeks. He said, "I think we reach $5 somewhere between this weekend and Juneteenth/Father's Day weekend." Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Washington, D.C. are among the states already at $5 per gallon. Kloza goes on to say, "Anything goes from June 20 to Labor Day," and "We could certainly see the national average approach $6."
