SEASONAL RAINFALL SO FAR VS NORMAL FOR THE 2022-2023 STORM SEASON -
Discussion: Downtown Los Angeles is the location at which we find out how Southern California does on an average sense for below, normal, or above normal rainfall. Two years ago for the 2021-2022 season I went 7-14 inches with a median of 10-12" and we ended up just shy of 11".
For the current 2022-2023 season I released the forecast in Fall 2022 for 14-18" with a median of 16" for Los Angeles.
The left image shows the current rainfall right now, which is just over 13" and only 1 " shy of the 14" mark, the start of my margin I projected. The right image is the article image (link below) of the official 2022-2023 seasonal forecast graphic.
All these stations saying "Forecasters never saw it coming" are starting to upset me because my numbers very well saw it coming and we still are not done with the season by any means. So, if you have a media contact that wants my story and get the fact that someone DID see it coming when others did not, send this to them and have them contact me for an interview and story because I'm not going another time with a major amount of people thinking it cannot be predicted when it can and the what I call NOT EXPERTS compared cannot even see it.
