Four teenage females and one male adult were apprehended following a game room burglary and officer pursuit that culminated in the Hedwig Village area.
Houston officers reported roughly around 1:30 a.m. that they obtained a heist in progress call at Cafe L'Amour, a known and busy game room and café, located in the 7200 block of Boone Road in Alief. When officers arrived, they saw about three suspects leave the business run to a vehicle, depicted as a white GMC SUV.
As officials closed in and attempted to make a traffic stop on suspects, the SUV drove off and a pursuit followed.
Officers state the pursuit concluded after approximately 14 minutes when they utilized a PIT maneuver, a tactic used when the officers purposely wreck the vehicle from behind to obstruct and sabotage the automobile at 900 Echo Ln.
Within the car, officers discovered five individuals. They apprehended four adolescent females, ages 14 to 19, and a 19-year-old male, who was conducting the vehicle as the get-away driver.
During the exploration, officers discovered the females in question strolled inside the game room and one of them discharged ammunition into the air as they mandated money from the customers.
Officers reported the suspects burglarized everyone present within the business. A pistol and an unspecified large amount of cash were recovered at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
