For those who live in Cherokee County, you can try to visit one of the top three parks in Cherokee that will be listed below:

1. Etowah River Park

Located at 600 Brown Industrial Pkwy Canton, GA 30114

This park has a walking trail throughout the Etowah River and you can find the wooden bridge. There is plenty of open grass to have a picnic or run around with your family and a few benches with shade for sitting.

“We had just moved to Canton and found the park by accident. We were trying to find a spot to enjoy our takeout dinner (picnic) and parked the car and noticed people walking out of the woods. So we took a stroll and found a beautiful hiking path with benches and beautiful trees and flowers,” said Lauren M on Tripadvisor.

2. Cherokee Veteran's Park

Located at 7345 Cumming Hwy Canton, GA 30115

In this park, you can find a skate park along with a scenic walk trail and playground, if you have kids this place is pretty impressive as they have tons of equipment for them to play on.

Also, they have many tables and benches for sitting under some shady awnings.

“Awesome park. Love the trail for running! My son and I both come out here for some loops around veterans. He's a middle school cross country runner and I am convinced the park is helped him get faster :)!” said Matt K. on Yelp.

3. J.B. Owens Park

Located at 2699 Hickory Rd Holly Springs, GA 30115

This park has a large playground for the kids to play, two pavilions as well as amazing trails for a walk or a leisurely stroll. Also, there is a hiking trail for adults and you can find bathrooms, covered picnic tables, and more.

“This nice little park is a gem. A great place to walk the dog or get some fresh air. It has a nice sized playground and a paved trail the goes around the perimeter and a little beyond. It is new, clean, and well maintained. Cherokee County did a nice job with this one. I am hopeful they will add more trees near the parking lot,” said Keith F on Yelp.
