ATLANTA, GA — Live Healthy & Thrive Youth Foundation, Inc. or LHTYF is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Aims to build a closer affiliation between children of today and the community-at-large, the charitable and tax-exempt organization is equipped with outreach and educational programs.

It is committed to giving youth the educational tools they need in order to live healthier as well as more balanced lifestyles. LHYTF increases the overall number of children they reach every year through their educational programs, giving an education to children about how to live healthy, balanced lifestyles so they can avoid obesity, diabetes, and hypertension.

To achieve its goals, LHYTF conducts several programs. One of them is the annual Healthy Kids Summer that will focus on teaching children the concept of healthy living including physical fitness, healthy eating through cooking demonstrations, and health education awareness.

The free Healthy Kids workshops are also held every year. The workshops focus on educating kids regarding food or nutrition, fitness as well as appropriate health care.

Meanwhile, its gardening program, Gardens are for Kids, teaches elementary students about growing healthy foods as well as the importance of agriculture in their society.

In addition, LHTYF also offers annual scholarships through the Pinnacle Youth Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is dedicated to high-school seniors. Award requirements include having a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, writing an essay, and plans to take a major in health, medicine, education, culinary arts, or hospitality. LHTYF will monitor the success of every program on a quarterly basis.
