Megan Kalista named as Cliftondale Elementary K-2 Literacy Coach

FULTON COUNTY, GA — The Cliftondale Elementary School has named Ms. Megan Kalista as their new K-2 Literacy Coach.

Kalista has been a kinder teacher for more than eight years. She is also a Fulton County Vanguard member, a Fulton County community that brings innovative personalized learning & instructional tech team by actively developing learning methods. The community is empowered by nearly 400 educators and teachers from across the county.

Graduated in Instructional Technology, Kalista has applied technology and education to bring personalized and collaborative learning experiences to the students. During her teaching career, Kalista has achieved notable and positive impacts on the community.

She was recognized as Cliftodale's Teacher of the Year in 2017 and mentored the Cliftondale team to achieve the "Vancise of the Year" award by Fulton County Vanguard in 2020.

Ms. Megan Kalista was also featured as a presenter at Georgia Educational Technology Conference held on November 6 - 8, 2019, in the Virtual Field Trips with Google Tour Builder session. She gave a brief presentation about using Google Tour Builder and maximize its capacity to support the learning experience for the students.

Georgia Educational Technology Conference is an annual event sponsored by the Georgia Educational Technology Consortium, Inc. to support educators, teachers, and education providers in increasing their understanding of technology in education.

As the new K-2 Literacy Coach, Kalista will collaborate with educators, parents, and school administrators to build innovative and personalized lesson plans, design lesson models, and assist students and educators during the learning process.
