General Hospital Leap of Faith
Ali shared some secrets with attendees of a recent General Hospital Convention produced by Creation Entertainment, as to how that memorable moment came about. “It was actually kind of funny,” Ali said. “I didn’t know I was going to do it. [The jump into Spencer’s arms] was not scripted. It was [improvised]. We were just supposed to, like, hug each other. We only did one take [after doing] one practice.”
In rehearsal, Ali says she and Chavez shared a hug. But when it came time to shoot the embrace, Ali was inspired to make the moment more memorable. “I was running [towards him], and I [thought], ‘Wow, if I stop right now and slam into him, I’m going to create a mini-me [impression]!'” Ali said.
