B&B’s Bridget met Bridget at a recent charity event.
Two actresses, Ashley Jones, who still recurs in the role, and Jennifer Finnigan, who won three consecutive Daytime Emmys, are beloved by fans for their portrayals of Bridget Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. Recently, Jones chatted with Soap Hub at the charity gala where the two women reconnected due to their mutual love of a sitcom legend, the late John Ritter.
Ashley Jones: Three’s Company
Jones was on the red carpet at the Avalon Hollywood & Bardot in Los Angeles to attend “An Evening from the Heart LA 2023,” which benefitted The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health. The late Emmy-winner (for Three’s Company) passed away in 2003 after suffering an aortic dissection.
“I have a been a fan of John Ritter’s for years and years,” Jones says. “Two of my closest friends, Kaley Cuoco and Amy Davidson, played his daughters on 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughters. They’re both here tonight, and they’re both lovely supporters of John’s wife Amy [Yasbeck].”
From the Heart
The gala raised more than $400,000 to support the John Ritter Foundation‘s ongoing mission to share vital information with medical providers, at-risk families, and underserved communities worldwide, who often lack access to such resources. “I think it’s such a beautiful foundation because of what it stands for,” Jones says. “It means so much to Amy, John’s family, and loved ones. [Kaley and Amy] love talking about it because of their connection to John. It’s always held a special place in my heart, too.
“When you lose someone, you feel helpless and hopeless, and you want to do something,” Jones offers. “This shines a light [on aortic health].” Jones met Cuoco when they filmed the 2015 movie The Wedding Ringer together. The B&B star knows Davidson through the acting community. “Our kids were born months apart,” Jones adds. “We go way back.”

While Soap Hub was chatting with Jones on the red carpet, we informed her that Finnigan, who played Bridget before she did, was due to attend the gala, too. “Oh, that’s exciting!” Jones enthused. “I love her!” Later in the night, Jones and Finnegan reconnected and posed for a photo that Jones shared on Instagram. “Had to add this for @boldandbeautifulcbs fans that are the best fans. Look who I got to see – The Bridgets are sending you love! @jennigan1 you are a gem.” Finnegan added: “Awwww my honey!!!!! Was SO GREAT to see you!!!! Play date [with our kids] soon pls.” Jones is up for it! She replied: “Yesssss😍😍😍.”
