Let’s bring the bad boy back!
Adam Newman has spent his past few weeks on The Young and the Restless drunkenly pining over Sally Spectra. Sure, he’s taken some time out to deal with the mess Chelsea Lawson created for Connor Newman, and he’s been good at that. But then it was back to pining over Sally. Not good for him, not entertaining for us. Luckily, we have a suggestion to benefit us all.
Young and the Restless: Fight Club
Back before his world shrunk to only Sally (Courtney Hope) and Connor (Judah Mackey), Adam (Mark Grossman) was a mover and shaker in the business world. He would get his hands dirty in a way even Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) might be unwilling to do.
Adam finally abandoned Newman Enterprises after the umpteenth time his dad and sister jerked him around and went to work for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) at Jabot. Well, Jabot has a little situation on its hands. Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) is poised for a hostile takeover. At the moment, Jack is playing his cards close to the vest. But why not tell Adam?
Y&R: Guard Dog
Why not sic Adam on Tucker? It will, first and foremost, get Adam out of his Sally-induced self-pity hole. He will have something else to focus on. Which will make him less pathetic and, yeah, more attractive to Sally.
It will also allow him to help out Jack, whom Adam owes for stepping up when his own father kicked him to the curb, and do it in a way that will allow Jack to continue to keep his reputation as a straight-shooting businessman while Adam takes the blame for playing dirty.
Adam Newman: Top of His Game
Finally, it will show Victor and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) what they both lost by not wanting him in the family company. It’s win, win, win…and it will make Adam much more interesting to watch. So win, win, win, win!
