Cameron Art Museum, a local Wilmington, NC favorite, is hosting a 24 hour festival entitled State of the Art starting on Friday April 1st 5 PM to Saturday April 2nd 5 PM. All local and native NC artists are encouraged to bring their art to be displayed in the museum. Click here for submission and for more information. All artists must be present with their work.
“I'll say that the lineup for the performances is more diverse than most events have been for the past 2 years - we've got spoken word poetry, a drag show, films, electronic music, dance, tai chi, yoga, jazz, rock... pretty much something for anyone's tastes in the Wilmington area!” says Grant Stewart, the IT Coordinator of the Cameron Art Museum.
There will also be music from an array of artists that include, experimental, ambient, poetry reading, the museum's first drag show, poetry jam, film screening, and exercise sessions.
The schedule plans to be full of a variety of different fun and activities and there is a suggested donation of $10. Here is a list of the schedule.
