DETROIT, MI - Entering some entertainment venues now requires proof of vaccination status or a negative COVID test within 24 hours and El Club is one of them now.
El Club reopened for the first time since the pandemic ban was lifted at the beginning of this month. It returned with a jam-packed concert schedule.
Patrons at the all-ages venue must now show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test, joining Marble Bar, Magic Bag, Small's Bar, and The Film Lab. El Club will implement similar requirements on September 1, 2021, and will accept a photocopy of a vaccination card as proof.
Prior to entry, the venue requires all staff and patrons to show proof of full vaccination.
Unlike other venues, you can enter the El Club by showing a photo of a completed vaccination card that matches your I.D. If a patron has not been vaccinated, they must present proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours before entering the club.
Because El Club is an all-ages venue, the new rules apply to children as well. Before entering the venue, any child under the age of 12 who is unable to receive the vaccine must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
Visitors who have not been vaccinated must also wear masks inside El Club.
The first 50 people to show proof of being newly vaccinated between the dates of September 1, 2021, and October 31, 2021, will receive one free entry to the show of their choice at El Club.
Send your photo of the vaccination card to drew@elclubdetroit.com.
