7 best places to visit for a fantastic night out in Detroit

DETROIT, MI - Are you a fan of a night out and looking for something new to do while you're out and about? Try these 7 things you can do in Detroit to light up your evening.

1. Hit the Lanes.

In Detroit, fowling, feather bowling, and bowling have all become popular evening activities. Punch Bowl Social offers classic bowling and arcade games, while the Fowling Warehouse in Hamtramck combines football and bowling, and Cadieux Cafe offers feather bowling.

2. Have a high-end cocktail

Maybe you're not in the mood for a beer right now. Many of Detroit's best restaurants have some pretty unique drinks on their menus. Townhouse and Cornerstone Barrel House are excellent for whiskey, while Detroit City Distillery produces excellent vodka, gin, and whiskey, and Two James Spirits offers a wide range of spirits.

3. Attend a show or concert.

From a musical at the Fisher or Fox theatres to a symphony at Orchestra Hall, there's always something (or someone) spectacular in town. Furthermore, big names in the music industry always make a point to visit Ford Field, the Fillmore, and Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. In our events calendar, you can find upcoming concerts.

4. Put a dessert on your list

You have a lot of options if you want to end your night with something sweet. Treat Dreams or Astoria Pastry Shop are two options.

5. Take a look at the local craft beer scene.

Detroit brews some seriously delicious beers and sampling them all could be a full-time job. Founders, Jolly Pumpkin, Grand Trunk Pub, HopCat Detroit, Atwater, Detroit Beer Co., MotorCity Brewing Works, or Green Dot Stables are just a few of the options.

6. Sports!

The sports culture in Detroit is thriving. Grab tickets to see the Detroit Tigers, Lions, Red Wings, or Pistons, depending on the time of year. There's a sporting event almost every night now that all four teams play downtown.

7. Take a walk.

If the weather's nice, take a stroll along the Detroit RiverWalk to take in the sights and work off your dinner and drinks.
