New Center Park presents free movie screenings every Wednesday & Friday

DETROIT, MI - New Center Park has been opening free movie screenings for the public from June until this August.

New Center Park welcomes you and your family to enjoy movie night in a socially distancing outdoor space. Have fun entertainment, outdoor activity, and watch old and new movies outdoor every Wednesday and Friday. The film begins at Dusk, and Doors open at 8.00 p.m. This event is free of charge and limited capacity. Visitors should also pay attention that New Center Park closes 15 minutes after the movies.

Here is the list of movies for August:

August 11: Wonder Woman 1984 - rated Parental Guidance, 2 hours and 31 minutes

August 13: Avengers: Endgame - rated Parental Guidance, 3 hours and 01 minutes

August 18: Ford vs. Ferrari - rated Parental Guidance, 2 hours and 32 minutes

August 20: Aladdin (2019) - rated Parental Guidance, 2 hours and 08 minutes

August 25: Blade Runner 2049 - rated Restricted 2 hours and 44 minutes

August 27: Jumanji - rated Parental Guidance, 2 hours and 03 minutes

If there are any film cancellations due to severe weather, New Center Park will announce them on social media.

New center Park recommends you bring your blankets, hand sanitizer, and the essential thing, Mask. The park follows the COVID-19 rules for safety and obligatory practices for you, your family, and all staff. If you are sick and have a terrible health condition, you cannot join this event. All visitors must wear a mask all the time except when eating or drinking. Groups or patrons are separated six feet. Patrons are not more than six people seated together. New Center Park is owned and operated by Midtown Detroit. This park is a unique green space located on the southwest corner of Second Avenue and West Grand Boulevard across from the Fisher Building.
