I recently started a series of articles about different apps that help you to make some extra money. Though you won’t get rich off of them (or even pay you a full-time wage), they can help you bring in some extra cash to help you buy the things that you want or need.
My first article was about Mistplay, where I actually have gotten several Amazon gift cards (to help me with my reading obsession). If you haven’t had a chance to read it, you can check it out here.
I then wrote one about Swagbucks, with some tips to help you increase your earnings. I have mainly been focusing on Mistplay, so I haven’t spent a lot of time trying it out yet. If you haven’t had a chance to read it, you can check it out here.
This article is going to be about My Points. This is similar to Swagbucks in that it gives you plenty of ways to earn points, but they don’t really do any of them extremely well! They offer surveys and give you points for watching videos, using coupons, and signing up for certain deals.
Interested in learning more? Here are some tips to help you earn more through My Points.
You can cash out as soon as you have ten dollars accrued. While plenty of sites require twenty to fifty dollars saved up before you can cash out, you can cash out as soon as you have ten dollars available. Don't forget to cash out every time that you have ten dollars available!
There are more reward gift cards than some of the other sites. You can get gift cards (or eGift cards) to many popular places like Walmart, Amazon, Home Depot, Kohl's, Old Navy, Petco, and many more. You can get gift cards to dine out at places like Burger King, The Cheesecake Factory, Red Robin, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, and more. You can even get airline miles!
You can also get cash back through PayPal or a Visa Prepaid Card. That being said, you will need more points to do so. A twenty-five dollar PayPal gift card is going to cost you over four thousand points, where you might only need thirty-six hundred points for a standard gift card.
You can earn points when you refer others (and then continue to earn as they do)! For every friend that you refer, you get twenty-five points. Then, every month, you will get ten percent of the points that they earn! This makes it very important to refer those who you might think will stick with it and continue earning points every month!

Make sure you check out the daily tasks every day and do as many of them as possible. These short tasks can really help you grow points quickly!
Then, focus on the surveys that actually pay you more than a dollar. Many surveys pay you pennies, but they aren't often worth the time. It is much better to wait for higher-paying ones.
Don't worry about playing the games. Mistplay is a much better game-playing app than My Points. You would be better off playing games there than playing them through My Points.
When shopping online, use their marketplace of vendors. This allows you to get points for every dollar that you spend. You can get money back when you buy from places like JCPenny and Overstock.com.
That being said, you don't want to buy anything that you wouldn't normally buy. There are going to be many ads that are going to make you think about buying things. However, if you buy things that you aren't going to use, are you saving money? Instead, buy things that you really need or want, and take advantage of the reward points that you get.
If you are looking for another way to help you earn money back as you shop online, you may want to check out My Points. You might be able to find some surveys to take, and you should always check out the daily tasks to help your points grow.
Be sure to check back as I give a few of these different apps a chance to see what works and what doesn't. I may add to his article in the future, as I try to do more on it, now that I have done some research.
