Twenty years later, the two sisters are both struggling with their lives. Laura’s two children are out of the house, and she is suffering from empty nest syndrome. Only, instead of finding herself enjoying the company of her husband, she is unsure about the state of her marriage.
Meanwhile, Penny lives on the run when a cancer diagnosis changes everything. She finds herself on her sister’s doorstep with her young daughter, just hoping for some help.
The two sisters have years of distrust to work through, as they try to figure out if their bond is enough to help each other through some rough patches, before it is too late.
I couldn’t put this book down. I just had to see if the two sisters could regain trust and find a way to lean on each other through Penny’s cancer diagnosis. I am sure that you will feel the same way!
