Katie is heartbroken when she loses her husband in the line of duty. A firefighter, they both knew it was a possibility, but neither expected it to happen to them!

Even worse, she is left to care for her two sons, as well as the child that is growing within her. Her husband’s best friend, Mark, also a firefighter, steps up to help her through the following weeks and months.

He is determined to take care of the family, though Katie isn’t ready to hear about his feelings. Instead, she pushes him away and is devastated when he leaves the community. When he returns, she has a big decision to make.

Like all of the other books in this series, I couldn’t put it down! You will rush through it also, hoping that Katie will open up her heart for a man who loves her.
