If you have read Finding Emma, you may be wondering about Jack and Dottie. Though we only learn about Dottie and her dementia, there is a lot more to her than meets the eye.

So, if you are in any bit curious about Dottie, you need to read the next book in the Finding Emma installation, Dear Jack. In it, you will read her journal entries from when Jack left her to go to war. She was stuck home trying to raise their child on her own (with some help from one of Jack’s friends).

By reading this book, you will begin to think of Dottie as less of a monster who stole Emma to someone who had a hard life, and then dementia stole the rest of her life from her.

I am glad that I picked up this book. Readers will learn so much about Dottie and their heart will begin to soften towards her. A must read!
