Impress your sweetheart without breaking a sweat in the kitchen.
Valentine’s Day is coming up fast, folks. Are you ready? This year, a lot of us will be spending the holiday at home, but that doesn’t mean you can’t up your dinnertime game.
I’m so happy to report that two of our local gems are offering some utterly tasty — and gorgeous — specials, just in time for the holiday.
In fact, these limited-time deals are so good, you might just want check them out for your “Galentine’s Day” if you happen to be single at the moment!
First up is an incredible homemade dinner from Fork and Spoon.
Fork and Spoon, located at 260 Broad St NW, is the real deal, people. I’m talking made-from-scratch comfort food that tastes like a warm hug, yet is good for you too. Always fresh — with lots of local ingredients — and such a welcome departure from factory food.
This year, the lovely little restaurant is serving up a special heat and eat meal. For starters you’ll enjoy brie en croute, aka a fruity, herby, and cheesy baked brie wrapped in puff pastry.
The main course is your choice of either chicken bruschetta over herbed rice OR roasted vegetables with burrata (OMG) and chimichurri sauce.
You’ll end the meal with a precious package of J’Lynn’s handmade truffles.
Sound like heaven? Call the restaurant at 423-790-0035 to order your meal by Wednesday, February 10th at 3pm.
You’ll pick up your order on Saturday, February 13th between 10am and 2pm. The restaurant will provide you with heating instructions. This special allows no substitutions, but they do ask that you let them know about any food allergies.
The meal for two is $75.
Now as tasty as that sounds, you might be wanting more dessert. Folks, I hear you. Valentine’s Day is, after all, the sweetest day of the year.
