The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for parts of northeastern Nebraska. The warning is in effect until 9:45 PM CDT. A severe thunderstorm was detected at 8:55 PM CDT, located southeast of Winside and southwest of Wayne. The storm is moving northeast at a speed of 35 mph. The storm is expected to bring hazards such as 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-sized hail. The source of this information is the public, and it is noted that this storm has previously produced quarter-sized hail in and east of Norfolk. The expected impact includes hail damage to vehicles and wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. The locations most affected by this storm are Wayne and Wakefield. The observed maximum hail size is 1.00 inch, while the radar indicates a maximum wind gust of 60 mph.

The Flood Warning remains in effect for the Housatonic River at Stevenson Dam in New Haven and Fairfield Counties, Connecticut. The river is currently experiencing moderate flooding, and this is expected to continue. The flood stage is at 11.0 feet, and as of 9:00 PM EDT on Friday, the river's level was at 16.2 feet. The forecast predicts the river to fall below flood stage on Sunday afternoon and continue decreasing to 8.9 feet by Monday evening. A Flood Warning has been issued for the Housatonic River at Gaylordsville in Litchfield County, Connecticut. The warning will be in effect from late tonight until early Sunday afternoon. Minor flooding is expected, with the river level forecasted to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight, reaching a crest of 8.6 feet early tomorrow afternoon. Instruction: Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A flood warning is currently in effect until 10:45 PM EDT this evening for southern Connecticut, particularly New Haven County. The warning is due to excessive rainfall causing flooding in various areas such as rivers, creeks, streams, and low-lying locations. The streams are still rising due to runoff from previous rainfall. As of 7:35 PM EDT, flooding is either ongoing or expected to begin soon in the warned area. Approximately 3 to 5 inches of rain has already fallen, and there is a possibility of an additional 0.25 to 0.50 inches of rainfall. At 7:56 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was observed 7 miles south of Battle Creek, or 14 miles southwest of Norfolk, moving northeast at a speed of 30 mph. The storm is expected to bring ping pong ball-sized hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph. The information is based on radar indications. People and animals outdoors are at risk of injury, and damage to roofs, siding, windows, vehicles, and trees is expected. The location most impacted by this storm is Battle Creek. Radar indicates that the maximum hail size is 1.50 inches and the maximum wind gust is 60 mph.
