PHOENIX, AZ - Every fall, farms all throughout the Greater Phoenix region welcome you to come out and taste the fruits and vegetables of their labors and celebrate autumn with a range of activities for the whole family. Ride a hay bale, pick a pumpkin, and explore the corn maze at these Phoenix farms.

  • Mother Nature's Farm

At 1663 E. Baseline Road, Mother Nature's Farm serves as a one-stop shop for all of your seasonal requirements. There is a pumpkin shop at Maneau's Market that sells pumpkins that range in size from 1 ounce to 500 pounds. As part of the admission price of $10 per person, you'll get a pumpkin, a hayride, an entrance to Alexander's Adventure Maze, as well as the chance to feed the petting zoo animals.

  • Schnepf Farms

Schnepf Farms is known for its summer peaches, but this 5,000-acre farm morphs into a pumpkin wonderland in the fall. The Pumpkin & Chili Party takes place every weekend in October, and guests may enjoy seasonal tastes as well as a range of activities, ranging from pumpkin launching to pig racing. Located at 24610 S. Rittenhouse Road, this yearly festival is known for family fun: the zip line and rock climbing wall are ideal for the older members of your group, while the play yard and carousel rides are ideal for the younger ones. The admission fee is $23 per person and it's free for children age two and younger.

  • MacDonald's Ranch Annual Pumpkin Patch

MacDonald's Ranch at 26540 N. Scottsdale Road, initially opened to the public in 1970 and has since been a neighborhood favorite, providing both a taste of the Wild, Wild West and hands-on agricultural activities. With a $10 admission fee per person, the annual Pumpkin Patch celebrations include a petting zoo, a panning for gold adventure, a hay-bale labyrinth, a pedal car track, and a variety of lawn activities. Pony rides, horse-drawn hayrides, and mechanical bull rides are available for an extra $5. Just remember to get down to the actual pumpkin patch to find the right future jack-o'-lantern.
