Dom Flemons to perform at the Musical Instruments Museum Theater on June 26

PHOENIX, AZ — A lineup of diverse musical talents is scheduled to perform at the Musical Instrument Museum Theater this June.

One of those upcoming artists is Dom Flemons, who will perform on Saturday, June 26, at 7 p.m.

Dom Flemons is a Grammy Award-winner songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, actor, music scholar, and historian. Last year, he released his third solo album titled “Prospect Hill: The American Songster Omnibus”.

Considering how he has covered over 100 years of early American popular music, Dom Flemons is known as “The American Songster”. He is also an expert player on the banjo, guitar, harmonica, jug, percussion, quills, fife, and rhythm bones.

In 2020, Flemons was selected for the prestigious United States Artists Fellowship Award in the category of Traditional Arts. Originally from Phoenix, He is currently living in Washington, D.C, and serves as the governor on the board of directors for the Washington D.C. chapter of the Recording Academy.
