19th June is as supreme as it was in 1865. The day Juneteenth commemorates the day when the federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas. This year Charlotte will celebrate Juneteenth across the city and beyond, with art, food, special events, live music, and performances.
Belmont Juneteenth Celebration
This year the Belmont Juneteenth celebration will be virtual. You can watch the parade from the Montcross Area Chamber through your webcam. All you have to do is register yourself and your family for the event. The event goes live from 2 pm, and the concert takes place at 7 pm.
The fourth Durag Fest will have music, art, food, and live performances across three locations in Charlotte. At Victoria Yards, one can shop local vendors at the Durag Fest and enjoy bites from the Food Trucks. The attendees need to wear a face mask and maintain social distance at all times.
RVA Juneteenth Cocktail Market
The RVA Juneteenth Cocktail Marker is a perfect spot to celebrate Juneteenth. One can enjoy cocktails, drinks, and good music at Charlotte's Southern Deli and Tapas.
