Halloween is quickly approaching, and unlike last year, there are very few restrictions in place this year, allowing the general people to enjoy and explore the holiday. The city of Los Angeles has a plethora of locations that provide true horrors and pleasure to chill your bones, however, this post is about a prime attraction that has been closed this season for unclear reasons.

Dark Harbor on Queen Marry

Before Covid-19 took over the world, the Queen Mary's Dark Harbor used to terrify hordes of horror aficionados who rush to the ship to brave its variety of real-life-themed mazes. The famous Halloween-themed event, which used to run through Nov. 2, was anchored by six mazes inspired by genuine events that have occurred on the iconic ship, as per the organizers.

The Queen Mary has been closed since March 2020, when nationwide stay-at-home orders were implemented to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Since then, the ancient ocean liner has remained closed.

Dark Harbor was canceled in 2020 owing to the coronavirus pandemic, a decision made in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines given the epidemic's uncertainty and it is canceled this year too

According to a statement issued by Long Beach City Officials, the ship will reopen in 2022. The Dark Harbor event organizers have not yet commented on the matter, however, it has been reported that the halt is due to a monetary dispute between the Dark Harbor event organizers and the company that manages the ship day-to-day, as per a report by Long Beach Post.
