I enjoyed the movie Four Good Days starring Mila Kunis. It is an intimate drama depicting the tiring and heart-breaking struggle to overcome addictions. It is remarkable how this movie has shown the sad reality of drug addiction as the daughter pleads with her mother to rescue her from this grave situation, and indeed, people like me can relate to it. I also had a heroin-addictive cousin who I have seen struggle my entire life, so this movie is a bit closer to my heart. Undoubtedly this movie is one of the finest pieces of acting by Mila Kunis as she portrays the role of a struggling heroin addictive daughter. Four Good Days has succeeded in capturing the emotional side of a relationship between a drug-addictive daughter and her mother, putting everything in line to save her daughter. Glenn Close, in Mila's mother's role, has given a powerhouse performance along with Mila Kunis in this drama. This movie is a true portrait of addiction, exploring its ugliest parts, including the intense detox, physical damages caused by drugs, and the embarrassing lengths addicts can go for drugs. Though I found clichés in the movie, the portrayal of a parent refusing to give up on her daughter has hit the nail. I'd recommend keeping tissues in your pocket when you watch this movie!
