You might have heard about Lancaster City Restaurant Week, an annual food-themed week every September celebrating local restaurants and offering good deals at food spots in downtown Lancaster City. This week, however, Discover Lancaster is hosting the very first annual countywide restaurant week.
Restaurants from all over the county are participating, and here is a handful of them, listed.
Blackworth Live Fire Grill
Located in the old Wilbur Chocolate building, Blackworth Live Fire Grill offers approachable foods forged by the flame and a cocktail menu that reflects seasonally sourced produce.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Lititz, not only because of the food they serve but the atmosphere as well. There's a friendly and lively vibe at Blackworth, and it's a perfect spot for a night out with friends or family.
Address: 52 North Broad Street, Lititz PA 17543
The Log Cabin
The building this restaurant is located in originally operated as a speakeasy during prohibition, and The Log Cabin officially opened as a fine dining restaurant in 1933. This is a high-end restaurant in a unique and charming setting. The Log Cabin has 12 dining rooms and each of them is unique in both style and artwork.
I've visited The Log Cabin once, and their dry-aged NY strip steak is outstanding.
Address: 11 Lehoy Forest Dr, Leola, PA 17540
Isaac's Brewhouse and Isaac's Restaurants
Isaac's Brewhouse and Isaac's Restaurants will donate $1 to Lancaster Farmland Trust for every cup or bowl of their Harvest Veggie Soup sold in October at all of their 7 Lancaster County locations. Issac's Restaurants serve American fare, and this local chain is known to be a kid-friendly restaurant and a favorite among young foodies.
Address: Check their website for all locations.
Black Forest Brewery
This local brewery in Ephrata features fresh locally grown produce from Reiff's Farm Market and meats from Brilyn Acres. At Black Forest Brewery you get to enjoy craft beers and locally grown meats and produce at its best.
The Brewery is located on the property of the 1777 Americana Inn Bed and Breakfast. In keeping with the historical integrity of the Inn, the Black Forest Brewery and tasting room is situated adjacent to the Inn and designed in the same period style.
Address: 301 West Main St. Ephrata PA 17522
Proceeds from Lancaster County Restaurant Week benefit Lancaster Farmland Trust and its mission to preserve as much farmland in Lancaster as possible. Enjoy a good meal on a night out, and you'll support local restaurants and preserve the treasured farmland in Lancaster, PA.
