It's that time of the year again. Summer is about to come to an end and it's time to embrace the fall season and everything it brings. This upcoming Labor Day weekend there are several fun things you and your family can do in Lancaster, PA. Here's a few of them.

Block Party & Food Truck Festival

Tanger Outlets is hosting a sports-themed family event packed with entertainment for the little ones. At their Labor Day Block Party & Food Truck Festival, you can enjoy free fun with a bounce house, superhero characters, and a very own children's creation station.

Among the food trucks, you'll find The Nacho Depot, Mac Stack, and Dough & Arrow.

The event is being held Saturday, September 4 from 12 pm to 5 pm, and all activities will be held in the festival zone near the playground.

Art Festival in Long's Park

If your kids enjoy art and being outdoors, there's no better place to be than at Long's Park annual Art Festival this weekend.

The 80-acre public park is filled with fun things to do and see, including a lake, petting farm, and several playgrounds. This weekend you'll be able to browse through 200 exhibitors, many of them local, at the art show hosted by Long’s Park Amphitheater Foundation.

There's also the First Friday in Downtown Lancaster this Friday from 5 pm to 9 pm. This is a monthly celebration all about art and the local community.

Free Admission at Lancaster Science Factory

The Lancaster Science Factory is a hands-on, interactive science center for kids in Pre-K to 8th grade and their families. Every First Friday the Lancaster Science Factory offers free admission from 5 pm to 7 pm. Here, your children can explore over 70 interactive exhibits!

This program is possible through the support of PPL. All COVID-19 Health & Safety policies will be in effect until further notice. Cloth masks that cover the nose and mouth are required for all guests over the age of 2.

Ice Cream Social

What kid doesn't like ice cream? Join in on the Annual Ice Cream Social with a free concert by Steel Radiance on September 5.

This concert is sponsored by Luther Acres and will be held in the Mary Oehme Gardens. Bring your lawn chairs and invite your friends, neighbors, and family. The gardens are located behind 145 East Main Street in historic Lititz, Pennsylvania.
