A 1927 Newspaper Report Claims Giant Skeletons were Found in a Florida Mound and Over 500 Years Old

Giants have reportedly been found all over the United States. Many giant skeletons have been found in ancient mounds; according to archaeologists, the mounds were considered ceremonial burial grounds.

This report of Giant Skeletons found in Florida comes from a newspaper article in 1927. At the time, it was believed that Giant Indians roamed the Florida swamps for over 500 years. They lived on shellfish and cracked them open with their teeth. The skeletons were found in one area where a fisherman lived near Tampa, Florida.

Scientists at the time estimated the bones were over 500 years old and were remnants of a tribe called Gariba. They were natives of the West Indies. It was believed they inhabited Florida and the islands before the arrival of the Spanish in Florida.

It was reported that skulls were larger than any others found in history, and they had been battered and crushed. They believed tribal battles caused it. The jaw and teeth were enormous, as well as the body, which indicated that they were giants in comparison to the humans of today.

At this time in Florida's history, they stated it was common to find large bones in mounds all over Florida. The bones were sent to the Smithsonian for investigation and, like many other giant bones, have never been seen again.
