The City of Chandler is seeking Volunteers and Sponsors for Chandler’s Make a Difference Day

CHANDLER, AZ — The City of Chandler invites volunteers and sponsor to join “For Our City Day Chandler” on October 23, 2021, to celebrate National Make a Difference Day.

Each year hundreds of volunteers and residents are needed. This year, the event will help to complete over 180 projects across the neighborhoods near downtown Chandler, including Galveston, Armstrong, and the Historic Silk Stocking District.

Volunteers will be assisting with fence repair, painting home exteriors, alley clean-up, yard care/spreading rock, and more. There will be a community lunch and celebration at the end of the morning service at a nearby park until 1 p.m. after the morning service.

A donation is another option available to those in the community who are unable to volunteer. The City of Chandler appreciates contributions of $1 or more, and all donations are tax-deductible. In addition to cash donations, the city also accepting food for volunteers, and in-kind contributions such as tools for home improvement, new paint, and building materials.

In addition to volunteers, the City of Chandler also encourages the residents to become sponsors to support this endeavor. The residents can be a sponsor starting from $500 up to $10,000. The sponsors will be given various benefits, from attaching their logo on the event social media and website to receive special recognition from the Mayor.
